From Version 1 of NEPPAGames: ETO

From the Fans!

ETO Thumbs Up

"Neppagames ETO is a game that the modern wargamer would love. The playing time is very reasonable. The rules complexity is such that once you have played a game, referral to rules is very infrequent. I suspect that players of Third Reich, A World At War, World in Flames and other games of that nature that have been turned off by the complexity would enjoy this game immensely."

"I have a great time playing the game, it is one of best games ive played
in my 25 years."

"Dear Sirs,

This weekend´s ETO session ended in spring 1942 with Italians in Suez; the British nearly exhausted by strategic warfare plus a German landing in Great Yarmouth; and a very strong mother Russia after an epic slugfest against a not fully comitted Wehrmacht. Great gaming!"

Paper Wars Review

"In my opinion, this game has less the flavor of Axis & Allies than that of Avalon Hill and SPI strategic World War II games from years ago. It is especially evocative of Third Reich. Nothing against Axis & Allies (and its many adaptations and expansions), but this is far more of a simulation with nice chrome built into the rhythm of the turns, instead of through separate rules. It is also quite playable without many rules that force historical play. There are very few "special considerations" as the rules term them.... For experienced games, most of these rules will be pretty intuitive."

"I think (the designers) met their goal of combining the best and most familiar elements of older games into a playable yet historical package. For players who fancy doing better than war leaders like Churchill or Mussolini, this game provides an enjoyable experience."
